Our Lady of the Southern Cross

This is one of the most beautiful paintings of our Lady that I will ever see. The artist was commissioned by Cardinal Pell on the occasion of World Youth Day 2008. What I especially love about this painting is how our Lady’s eyes are so humble—she’s sweetly looking down upon her Son bringing the attention of the viewer to Him.
