St. Maximilian: Modern Day Knight

Today is the feast day (Memorial) of my man St. Maximilian Kolbe–Knight of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Martyr of Charity and one of the patron saints of this blog. He ran the chariot of fire and finished victorious with the racetrack blazing.

St. Maximilian was a Polish Franciscan (Conventual) priest who was martyred at Auschwitz on August 14, 1941. Empowered by the Eucharistic Lord he loved to adore and by his great devotion to Our Lady, he gave his life to save another.
