so nasty and mean…  get the heck away.

We’re bracing ourselves for hurricane Irene here in the mid Atlantic. Heavy rain and wind are expected to hit this area this evening. Power outages are a possibility. So is flooding. Irene has already hit NC, now she (it really) is in the Chesapeake. I hope and pray that the storm significantly weakens before coming any further north.

The storm may rage and cause concern, especially for the safety of others, but ultimately there is no reason for fear. The One who walked on water, calmed the sea, and destroyed death says, “Be not afraid; I AM.”
