The birthday of the Mother of God is such a joyful occasion because it marks the dawning of hope for the human race. The Blessed Virgin is the dawn which marks the rising of the Sun of Justice who transforms and illuminates the entire universe! Through Holy Mary we have Christ Jesus!

Thy birth, O Virgin Mother of God, heralded joy to all the world.

For from thou hast risen the Sun of justice, Christ our God.

Destroying the curse, He gave blessing;

and damning death, He bestowed on us life everlasting.

Little baby Mary, please pray us! Pray for us, sweet infant, the world seems so dark and dreary, especially with a dreadful election coming in this country, pray for the transformation of hearts and minds.

Thanks be to God for the Blessed Virgin–through whom He choose to come to us. Where would i be without her!?
